Even during non-pandemic times, the experiences of Black women and people of color at work can have a negative impact on our health and our well-being. Doctors are finding that racism and microaggressions are linked to chronically high levels of stress hormones in the bloodstream resulting in higher rates of both heart disease and high blood pressure in African-Americans. In addition, research shows that racism causes traumatic stress, linked to depression, anger, hyper-vigilance, and low self-esteem. Mindfulness tools can be extremely effective in supporting our well being through these challenges. This four part workshop series will provide your teams with practical tools to feel their best and perform at their best, especially when times get tough.
