Black women are the fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs in the U.S., but they are among the lowest earning and least funded businesses. Sistahbiz is working to change that.

With free and low-cost coaching, training, technical assistance, capital, and a supportive sistahood to ensure their success and close racial equity gaps in entrepreneurship. We envision a thriving, vibrant community of Black women business leaders who create unprecedented generational wealth through entrepreneurship.

Despite the impact of the global pandemic, the Sistahbiz raised over $775,000 in business incubator loan funds and distributed $200,000 in grants to Black women-owned business.

With a suite of Black women business coaches and providers, we provided over 1200 culturally responsive coaching sessions to assist Black women-owned businesses with the creation of strategic marketing plans, budgetary goals, and product design.

OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT

Sistahbiz has established a strong presence in the community, reaching underserved Black women CEOs and partnering with a wide variety of strategic allies locally and nationally. We are a trusted source for business development support. In 2021 alone, we engaged 14,855 social media followers and achieved 210,723 unique web page views.

FREE BUSINESS COACHING PROGRAM Why FREE Coaching?

Because Black women founders face numerous barriers as a result of the wealth gap and inequities in funding and social capital. Black women Since 2018, Sistahbiz has delivered over 1,200 free coaching calls. Our program offers a suite of culturally responsive coaches and experts who provide personalized guidance on revenue models, human capital strategies, branding, systems, and resource allocation. This diverse team of professionals ensures that each business owner receives tailored advice that respects and understands their unique experiences and challenges.

GOAL DIGGER SCHOLARSHIPS You can't just throw money at a problem.

Founders need support with planning and data so that they are equipped to make strategic and effective resource decisions. Every year, Sistahbiz sponsors 30-50 women business owners to attend our Goal Digger retreat. This premier annual strategic planning retreat for Black women entrepreneurs offers an intimate environment where participants can reflect on their achievements, plan for the future, and engage in strategic planning sessions.

COHORT PROGRAMS Accelerated Growth Strategy Planning

Sistahbiz cohorts commit to months of deep dive business makeover work. Each year, Sistahbiz hosts cohort activities for a select group of founders who undergo an intense admissions process. This intensive program focuses on helping participants rethink their business strategies, optimize their resources and operations, and position their companies for sustainable growth. Participants receive hands-on support, group and one-on-one coaching and a variety of resources.

UNSTOPPABLE GRANT FUND Non-dilutive, no-strings funding is about equity.

The Unstoppable grant  fund started during the pandemic as an emergency micro grant program targeting Black women-owned businesses who struggled to gain access to pandemic relief funds. The fund continues to help to close the “friends and family” funding gap and provide essential non-dilutive financial support, helping entrepreneurs invest in their business operations, marketing efforts, or other critical needs to accelerate their growth and stability.

BUSINESS TRAINING Data Labs, Bootcamps & Study Halls

Through these bootcamps, participants gain practical tools and actionable strategies to enhance their business operations and drive long-term success. Join us in empowering Black women entrepreneurs and fostering a community where they can thrive, grow, and create lasting wealth. Past bootcamps include:

  • Business Design Bootcamp: Focuses on customer, product, and brand development, helping participants map out the core elements of their business model.

  • Back Office Systems Bootcamp: Guides founders on implementing automations, ensuring compliance, organizing paperwork, and preparing for growth and capital access.
